How To Read The Voltage On Your BatteryUpdated a year ago
If you have a Multimeter on hand, you can use the following instructions to get a battery reading. If you do not have a Multimeter, you could go to a store such as Batteries Plus or another type of battery store locally for you.
When testing a battery, we need to make sure we're using the correct DC voltage test settings, otherwise, you'll get inaccurate results. For instance, when testing a Cart Tek main cart battery, your settings should be as follows:
ANDERSON
Insert the probes into the battery cable: Positive in red, Negative in black. Your results for a fully charged battery should be at ~29.4 volts. This is a partially depleted battery:
A fully charged battery is ~29.4 Volts
The caddy may start cutting out at ~24 Volts
A fully depleted battery is generally around the ~21-22 volt mark.
XLR
Insert the probes into the battery cable: Positive in #1, Negative in #2
