How to Ship BatteriesUpdated 7 days ago

Handling and Shipping Large Lithium Ion Batteries: A Customer Guide

At Cart Tek, we use high-energy lithium-ion batteries in our products. Due to their significant energy levels, these are classified as Large Lithium Batteries by federal regulations. Here is what you need to know as a customer about the shipping of these batteries:

Battery Shipping for Continental U.S. Orders

All our batteries are shipped via ground shipping services (FedEx or UPS) within the continental United States. This is in accordance with federal regulations that classify these batteries as hazardous material and restrict their transport to ground methods.

Battery Shipping for Hawaii

For customers in Hawaii, we have a partnership with a local shop in Honolulu, Pro Am, which carries our carts and other products. This allows you to purchase and receive our products locally, bypassing the need for shipping.

If you're just looking for batteries or need help with batteries, we recommend Battery Bill. They also carry our batteries and are a great local resource.

Air Travel Restrictions

Please note that these batteries are not allowed on commercial airline flights due to their potential safety risks. This restriction applies to both checked and carry-on luggage.

Customer Safety Reminder

As a customer, we advise against trying to ship these batteries yourself. They are considered hazardous material and require specific handling and packaging to ensure safe transport. If you need to return or exchange a product with one of these batteries, please contact our customer service for guidance.
